Do I Tell Her?

The law found him guilty
I have a cousin serving years
can't tell my mama though,
That right there will bring her into tears
and that right there, is too much for my soul to bare
I carry a good heart so how can I be the be bearer of bad news

Grandma, that's another story. Her heart might drop
Or even worst, her heart might stop
Who knew her grandson would end up in the system?
No more family name, for the next few years
A number is how they list him

Who knows
I pray that time flies, he'll be home before we miss him
