What Bothers Me

Unprofessionalism gets under my skin. My friends say that I am a pretty straight edge guy but come on, there is nothing worse than an unprofessional establishment. Even in my most casual encounters I am more or less professional. Common courtesy, respect, and communication all play a major role when it comes to professionalism. If I provide that to you I should get the same in return.

An unprofessional establishment becomes a joke, a playground, where nothing is taken seriously. Lately, whether it is the workplace or a small boutique in NYC, the lack of professionalism has taken the forefront and it is disgusting. People hide behind emails, there is a time and a place for certain topics but people say whatever they feel whether it is appropriate or not or nothing and it is considered to be okay or just ignored. Although it bothers me, I laugh at these establishments I call playgrounds.

Professionalism is defined to be the meticulous adherence to lasting courtesy, honesty, and responsibility in one's dealings with customers and associates, plus a level of excellence that goes over and above the commercial considerations and legal requirements.

Being professional is not an easy task. It takes thought, courage, and the execution of courtesy, honesty, and responsibility in one's dealings with customers, associates or even strangers we meet in the streets.
Let’s do better people, if we’re in the real world, we’re in the real world. Let’s leave the playground mess alone.

Unprofessionalism; is what’s been bothering me lately!
What’s been bothering you?
