Congratulations to President Barack Obama on his re-election. The people came out, they voted and our president won. Now it is time to get back to business. I don't talk about politics and I am smart enough to know that one man cannot bring change. It is a collective effort. Obama being president is change already, obviously it doesn't stop there. Obama serving two terms, it doesn't stop there. We are all agents of change in our own realm.
I know the struggle is real and voting isn't going to change our situations right away but it's good to see a sign of optimism from the people. Many jobs aren't coming back and people will have to redesign themselves, but that is progression. The advancement of technology is taking away the old way of doing things and it is not the presidents fault. The unemployment rate is still pretty high but many naive Americans believe the president is not doing enough to change that. It isn't so simple. There are many different aspects of politics and policies to tap into, but in the end it doesn't fall under one man. We all have to do our part. Tupac said it best when he said "it's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live, and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive".
Some people rave about how Obama didn't change anything and that whoever voted for him are simple minded and don't know the facts and a whole lot of foolishness that social media mediums allows people to spew. I don't see it that way. We are living in the age of information and it is at our fingertips. I don't necessarily think they feel Obama changed anything but anyone can tell you that the man needed more time. People's reaction to his victory is simply a testament that there is still time to provide a change.
