For many, (myself included) the existence of tap dancing is just a memory, but the art is clearly still alive. Omar Edwards is living proof. I was given the opportunity to see this extremely talented tap dancer put on an amazing set at Harlem's Red Rooster. After his set I was able to talk to him before he ran to his next gig. He said tap dancers don't get the same respect as they once did amongst the elders. The young generation don't grasp the importance of the art.
